Become a Certified EKG Technician in 4 Weeks
Our accelerated timeline takes you from classroom to clinic fast. You will master 3, 5, and 12-lead EKGs, heart rhythms, Holter monitoring, and patient prep, performing live EKGs on real equipment in structured, hands-on lab sessions, all inside one hybrid program. Wondering if it is worth it? See why being an EKG technician is a good career.
How the Hybrid Program Works
Our EKG Technician program is hybrid: online flexibility plus hands-on, in-person labs. A typical week blends about 2 days of live Zoom classes, 2 days of in-person training in Orlando, and 1 self-paced day. Prefer weekends? The 9-week Saturday track runs live on Zoom with on-campus training every third Saturday.
Live Online (Zoom)
Join certified instructors in real time from home for lectures and guided learning, typically a couple of days each week, always at your same class schedule time.
Hands-On In Person
Practice the skills employers test for: lead placement, 12-lead EKGs, and patient prep. You complete the live EKGs the NHA CET exam requires in person, on real equipment, with an instructor beside you.
Self-Paced Online
Work through online coursework on your own schedule, generally about one day a week, so the program fits around your life.
Schedules stay flexible and may change. The day-split above is typical, not guaranteed.
What You'll Learn as an EKG Technician
You'll gain the exact skills employers test for: lead placement, running and reading EKG strips, recognizing arrhythmias, and calm, confident patient care. Built around real-world scenarios, the curriculum mirrors what EKG technicians, monitor technicians, and telemetry technicians do every day in hospitals, cardiology offices, and diagnostic centers.
Patient Prep & Care
Put patients at ease, explain the procedure, and position leads correctly for a clean, accurate reading.
EKGs & Heart Rhythms
Perform 3, 5, and 12-lead EKGs, determine heart rate and rhythm, and recognize arrhythmias of sinus, atrial, and ventricular origin.
Monitoring & Equipment
Work with Holter monitors, pacemaker therapy, and continuous cardiac monitoring, and keep EKG equipment calibrated and ready.
Class Schedules
You pick ONE schedule, and that is your only class time. Both the live Zoom sessions and the in-person training happen inside that same time block, so the rest of your day stays free for work, family, and everything else. Availability varies by track.

Is It Still Possible for Someone Like You?
Have you ever thought: "I'm too old for this." "I was never good at school." "What if I can't keep up?"
Most of our students thought something like that before they started. They were working retail, restaurants, and warehouses. Many were parents. Almost none had healthcare experience.
Then they took the step you are considering right now and enrolled. They kept their jobs while they trained on morning, evening, or Saturday schedules, practiced on real EKG machines with an instructor beside them, and 83% passed their national certification exam on the first attempt.
Others were younger, still in college or on their way to nursing school, and wanted a better-paying job that also built their resume. Getting certified in a few weeks let them work a higher-paying healthcare job instead of an entry-level one, and gain real patient experience while they kept studying.
You are not starting over. You are building on the caring you already do for the people around you. In 4 weeks, that becomes a certification, scrubs, and a paycheck you can count on.
We can't wait to welcome you to our academy.
