Both are required modules in the standard Medical Assistant program. As an FHCA Phlebotomy or EKG graduate, your prior module is credited automatically and you only complete the remaining MA coursework.

As a Medical Assistant, you will add patient interactions, clinical duties beyond the lab, and the administrative side of a healthcare practice. The full Medical Assistant program is 700 hours across 3 modules of classroom and hands-on training. With your Phlebotomy or EKG module already credited, your remaining hours drop to roughly 510 to 520 with one program completed, or about 330 with both. After completion, you’ll be ready for the CCMA exam and prepared to work as a certified Medical Assistant.
